I forgot to say that when I contacted the company about the early difficulties I was having, they were very accommodating, sending replacement parts and offering me a discounted price. But that cannot make up for the fact that the tumbler hasn’t even made it through an annual cycle.

I’ve owned my Compost Tumbler for about 6 months. First we had trouble assembling it. Then, when we solved that and I spun it, the latch let go every time spilling garbage underneath. I bought bungie cords to hold the door closed which it didn’t do completely, but it did keep the garbage from spilling out. Perhaps the material becomes more brittle in cold weather (I live in New England), but this weekend, the hinge on the door cracked – and now I have no tumbler at all.
